
The $2.3 million East Hampton Library Budget for 2016 was approved after the vote on Saturday by a 100-24 vote.
East Hampton voters chose to pass the budget with 81 votes for Yes and 24 votes for No.
Both Springs and Wainscott voters passed the votes by 100%, with 21 votes from Springs and 8 from Wainscott.

That means that this year, the average taxpayer will spend $4.89 more for the library.
The budget will cover: hiring more part-time employees, expanding programs, and purchasing additional books and materials.
