East Hampton Man Choked, Bit, Punched Victim in Head: Police
The incident took place on Pioneer Lane, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY - An East Hampton man was cuffed after he choked, bit and punched his victim in the the head with a closed fist, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Juan M. Marquina, 39, was arrested on May 16 at 3:23 p.m. and charged with harassment in the second degree, physical contact, a violation, after he bit, punched and grabbed the victim. He was also charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, applying pressure, a misdemeanor, after he choked the victim's neck with his hands, police said.
Marquina was also charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, disabling equipment to prevent request for emergency assistance, a misdemeanor, after he took his victim's phone and refused to give it back to her, police said.

He was released on his own recognizance, police said.
