East Hampton Town Receives Certificate of Achievement

East Hampton Town recently announced that they have earned the Certificate of Achievement of Excellence in Financial Reporting.

The award was given by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for the town’s comprehensive annual financial report.

The certificate, which was awarded to the Town’s Finance Department, is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

The award was chosen by panel of impartial judges who chose the winner who met the highest standard of the program including: demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” in order to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential user and user groups to read the report.
