“It is an outrage and a deeply troubling precedent for the Town Board to circumvent the budget committee analysis and ask for public comment before the public even knows what the economic impacts might be. How can the public possibly comment on a plan when no one knows the true economic impacts?

This all the more evidence that the East Hampton Town Board does not understand or care about the facts or the economic risks involved. Instead, the Board wants to blindly push ahead with their ill-advised plan to effectively close the airport, regardless of its impacts to the Town’s economic wellbeing.”
