Happy Ending As Lost Dog, Recently Adopted, Is Found Safe
Lorena, a shy pup who was only just adopted, was found on Wednesday.

EAST HAMPTON, NY - The tight-knit East Hampton community once again came together to help bring a lost dog home safely.
After a Facebook post about Lorena, a dog who was just adopted on Tuesday and went missing in the Amagansett area, friends and strangers alike turned out to help.
Lorena, who was last seen at 1 p.m. Tuesday at 446 Old Stone Highway before she disappeared, is shy.

But Lorena had her happy ending, according to the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons — she was found safe and sound on Wednesday. "Thank you to everyone who shared this post," ARF wrote on Facebook.
It wasn't the first time a newly adopted dog disappeared: The North Fork community turned out in force to help find Jazzy, who went missing soon after being adopted by her Southold family. But after an adventure that lasted a week and brought friends and neighbors together in a heartfelt mission to save her, Jazzy was found, and the community rejoiced and celebrated her safe return.
