All proceeds from the event support βHeart of Springsβ to raise much-needed funds for preservation and improvements of notable historic icons in the hamlet including Ashawagh Hall, Springs Community Church and Springs Library.
The βFisherman Formalβ Heart of Springs Gala Benefit will feature live music, sumptuous local fare, fine wines and local craft beers. Individual event tickets are $100 and may be purchased at www.HeartOfSprings.org. Corporate and family sponsorships are also available.
The first Heart of Springs Gala Benefit, took place in 2014 and through incredible community and sponsor support, raised enough money to complete needed repairs and improvements in the iconic Springs Historic District including; a full reconstruction of the cupola on Ashawagh Hall, a nitrogen-reducing upgrade to the septic system at Springs Community Church, and funding for books and supplies for Springs Library.
βThis event brings the "Springs" community together to celebrate our hamlet. The "Springs Triangle" has been the meeting place for generations and we want that to continue.", noted Wendy Hall, Founding Board Member of Heart of Springs.
In celebration of the rich artistic and cultural traditions of the Springs Community, the 2016 Heart of Springs Gala Benefit will include an art show and sale at Ashawagh Hall. A portion of the sales will benefit Heart of Springs. For more information please contact loringbme@gmail.com.
"What better way to celebrate the long history of artistic expression in Springs than with a Springs themed art show at Ashawagh Hall throughout the Heart of Springs weekend. Everyone I speak to is looking forward to this event!β, said Loring Bulger, Secretary of Springs Improvement Society.
A specially commissioned original artwork created by celebrated artist Vito DeVito is available for purchase , and limited edition, signed prints of this wonderful work capturing the essence of the βHeart of Springsβ, will be available for sale online and at the event.
