LIRR Announces Thanksgiving Weekend Schedule, Fares
Traveling by train this holiday? Check out the LIRR train schedule and fares for this week.

The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) announced that they will be adding extra trains and reducing fares for customers traveling this holiday weekend.
Starting on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 25 and continuing through the extended holiday weekend, guests will pay off-peak and family fare pricing in addition to having extra trains to choose from.
To accommodate the rush of customers getting a head start on the holiday weekend, the LIRR has added the following eastbound trains from Penn Station to its regular schedule for Wednesday:

Montauk Branch
- 4:06 p.m. train express to Westhampton, then stopping at Southampton, Bridgehampton, East Hampton and Montauk
On Thursday, for East End travelers planning to attend the Macyโs Thanksgiving Day Parade trains will run on a Weekend/Holiday schedule with the addition of a westbound train in the morning and an eastbound train in the afternoon.

Kids ages 5-11 (limit of 4 children) can ride one-way for $1 when accompanied by a fare paying parent or guardian.
Train schedule:
Westbound:
Montauk Branch
- 6:25 a.m. train from Speonk, making all stops to Babylon, Jamaica and Penn Station.
Eastbound:
Montauk Branch
- 12:02 p.m. train from Penn Station, stopping at Jamaica, Freeport, all stops to Speonk.
On Black Friday, November 27, one of the busiest shopping days of the year, the LIRR will run on a regular Weekday Schedule, but tickets will be sold at the lower, off-peak fares.
