Man Caught With 16 Plastic Bags Of Cocaine: Cops

MONTAUK, NY — A Montauk man was caught with 16 plastic bags of cocaine, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Steven Z. Garcia-Rivera, 24, was arrested in a parking lot on W. Lake Drive at 1:20 a.m. on Saturday and charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance–narcotic drug with intent to sell, a felony, and fourth degree criminal possession of a narcotic drug, a felony.

He possessed 16 small plastic bags containing cocaine that had an aggregate weight of more than an eighth of an ounce, police said.

He was placed into the custody of the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office, police said.
