Man Caught With Cocaine in Pocket Drove Drunk, Crashed: Police
The arrest took place in Amagansett, police said.

AMAGANSETT, NY — A New York man was caught with cocaine in his wallet, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Sahm Adrangi, 35, on New York, NY was arrested on Saturday at 3:36 a.m. on Montauk Highway in Amagansett after police found three clear, plastic ziploc bags containing a white powdery substance that later tested positive for the presence of cocaine, located in a brown leather wallet in his rear right pants pocket.
Adrangi, police said, was also driving drunk; he was heading west in a 2015 blue BMW when he was involved in a crash, police said. Upon investigation, he was found to have the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, slurred speech, bloodshot, glassy eyes, was unsteady on his feet and performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests, police said.

He was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; he was also charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, police said.
