Man Caught Driving With 21 Suspensions in East Hampton: Police

The driver was charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY - A Brooklyn man was cuffed in East Hampton after he was caught driving unlicensed with 10 or more suspensions, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Mohamed G. Elgendy, 41, was arrested at 1:26 a.m. on June 28 and charged with first degree aggravated unlicensed operation, 10 or more suspensions on 10 or more dates, a felony.

Police said Elgendy was driving a 2012 minivan east on Montauk Highway near Cove Hollow Road in East Hampton with 10 or more active suspensions, imposed on at least 10 separate dates, for failure to answer, appear or pay a fine.

He was arrested and bail was set at $2,000, police said.
