Montauk Celebrates St. Patrick's Day

The 53rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade took place this past Sunday.

Montauk celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in style during the second largest parade in the state which took place last Sunday.

The 53rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, hosted by the Montauk Friends of Erin, kicked off at 11:30 a.m. on Edgemere Road, running down Main Street ending by the IGA.

Before the parade began, some of Montauk’s finest soups were showcased as the Montauk Chamber of Commerce served soup donated by local restaurants to the cold guests.

Pictured below are some of the attendees of the parade including: the Amityville American Legion Pipe Band, the New York State Police, Anne and Peter Joyce of Pete’s Potting Shed, the Amagansett Fire Department, East Hampton Town Chief of Police Michael Sarlo with Town Supervisor Larry Cantwell, 2015 Parade Grand Marshal Terry Watson and her husband George Watson (The Dock, Montauk), the Coast Guard Station Montauk, The East Hampton Police Department, The Montauk Friends of Erin (who escorted their Grand Marshal), Kelly White (Amagansett School) with Montauk School’s Bradley Dickinson, the Montauk Fire Department (who was the host Fire Department for the Parade) and Gallerists Daria Deshuk and David Kushnir.
