Montauk Comes Alive With Holiday Events, Fun for All

MONTAUK, NY — The beauty of Montauk comes alive this season with a full slate of holiday events.

Here's a rundown of all the fun in the coming weeks, according to the Montauk Chamber of Commerce.

40th Annual Run For Fun -Turkey Trot November 24

Participants should gather at the Chamber office at the Village Green between 8 a.m. and 9:30 am to check-in for three or six mile races around town in all age categories. Sponsored by Keeshan Real Estate and East Hampton Town's Department of Parks and Recreation. Pre-register through Wednesday at the Montauk Playhouse and receive $5 off. The cost to enter is $15.

Montauk Community Church Christmas Fair -November 26, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Baked goods, handmade Christmas decorations, new and used toys, handmade rugs and other gifts. Refreshments sold.

Montauk Library Holiday Book Sale - November 26 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Gift books, art books, cookbooks, children's books, decorations, jewelry and much more.

Santa Visit at Montauk Point Lighthouse -November 27, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event includes caroling, pony rides, refreshments.

Christmas Spectacular at Gurney’s with Camp Soulgrow – December 17, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Two fun-packed hours of holiday fun and celebrations for kids and their parents.

“Starbrite” Storefront Lighting - Judging on December 13 from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Best Decorated Business Contest sponsored by the Montauk Chamber of Commerce. Prizes for Best Traditional, Most Whimsical, Best Display of Montauk and Brightest Display.
