Montauk Fire Department Hosts 36th Annual Holiday Dinner For Local Seniors

MONTAUK, NY - The Montauk Fire Department and the Montauk Point Lions Club hosted their 36th Annual Holiday Dinner for Montauk Seniors last Sunday afternoon.

Guests enjoyed a free, delicious, several course meal at the Montauk Fire House.

Volunteers from the Montauk Fire Department, the Boy Scouts, East Hampton High School, and the Montauk Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary helped to make the dinner a success.

Chefs for the event were Joan “La Petite Fromage” Franzone and Ed Lightcap of Rowdy Hall.

Scoutmaster Sean Tyrrell worked with volunteer Scouts Alex Karras, Colin Tyrrell, Zack Damm, David Carpio Llivipuma.

Dinner tuests included Loretta Sullivan, Thomas Butler, Detlev Zimmerman, Tony Corvi, Gene and Ann Beckwith, Judge James Ketchum, Flor and Buddy Burke, Rose Rutkowski, Mary Flowers, John Rutkowski, Joan Hildreth, Pat Gilchrest, Betsy White and Ruth Kelleher.

For Nilson and Zaida Novoa, the Dinner was also a celebration of their 57th Wedding Anniversary.
