Maureen’s Haven Homeless Outreach of Riverhead recently hosted their fourth annual Auction Benefit.

The event took place this past Sunday at Hoie Hall in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in East Hampton.

Volunteers, shoppers, politicians and other supporters of Maureen’s Haven’s great work with the homeles all attended the benefit.

Maureen’s Haven provides safe overnight shelter and food at more than 15 East End houses of worship for those who would otherwise have to stay outside during our cold East End winters.

Among those who attended the event included: Christian Benenaula; Emily Tafur; Lucas and Khalila Martin; Reverend Joseph Kelly (Living Water Church, Wainscott); Rabbi Sheldon Zimmerman (Jewish Center of the Hamptons); Rebecca Chapman; East Hampton Town Supervisor Larry Cantwell; Marge Harvey; Kerry Riege; Paul Kallmeyer with his wife and pianist Joan Brill; volunteers Karen Santacroce; Marie Schoemmell; Joanne Schaefer; Maureen’s Haven’s new Executive Director Marianne Gensler; Anne Cantwell; Prudence Carabine; Barbara Jordan (activist and expert on Affordable Housing, and volunteer from First United Methodist Church); Barbara Jordan; Sylvia Overby; Sara Blue, Rabbi Hanniel Levenson, Cantor (and newly ordained Rabbi) Debra Stein (all from Jewish Center of the Hamptons); Marilyn and Peter Van Scoyoc; and volunteers Dafna Priel and Leslie Gelb.
