EAST HAMPTON, NY — The 68th Annual East Hampton Artists & Writers Charity Softball Game kicked off with a pre-game cocktail party Friday night.
While tensions mounted over who would win Saturday's big game, fans and players of both teams took time out to party on Friday night at LTV Studios in Wainscott.
Partygoers included veterans of the Artists & Writers Games Mort Zuckerman, Ken Auletta, Walter Bernard, Dan Rattiner and Founder Leif Hope.

Saturday's event will also feature hot dogs, hamburgers and ice cream. "It’s a fierce competition where celebrities play and everybody wins! Come have fun, buy a shirt & hat and support our charities with our $10 suggested donation or more," organizers said.

All proceeds to benefit the Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center, Phoenix House, the Retreat and East End Hospice.
