Power Outage in Springs Leaves More Than 2,000 Without Power Sunday

BREAKING: High temperatures on Sunday led to the power outage, according to a PSEG rep.

SPRINGS, NY — A power outage in Springs left more than 2,000 residents without electricity in the sweltering heat Sunday.

As of 8 p.m., 2,227 customers were without power, PSEG media rep Elizabeth Flagler said. Flagler said PSEG technicians were out patroling the line.

"They'll have everyone back on as soon as they can," she said, adding that the outage was heat related.
