Souls,

Draped

In

Black,

Dying

To maim

To kill

Believing…

…Somehow

Their savagery

Their self-sacrifice

Was God’s will.

Pray for Paris.

Pray for peace.

Pray for me.

Pray for you.

Pray for humanity.

Pray for your enemy.

Pray for us--

All.

Prayers for Paris,

The City of Light

Darkened

By

Suicide,

Genocide,

Grenades,

Explosives,

Carnage,

Bloodshed,

Mayhem,

Mass shootings:

Massacres.

Prayers for Paris,

For justice…

Not vengeance,

For peace…

Not war,

For light…

Not darkness,

For love…

Not hate.

Pray for the light

Of

The Almighty

To shine bright

Upon us –

All

Today…

To awaken,

To guide,

To heal,

To illuminate

The blood soaked,

Blood stricken

City of Light,

And every

Bloodstained,

Bludgeoned

Corner

Of

Our

War-weary

World.

Amen.
