Sag Harbor Students Give Shelter Pets Some Love
All of the adorable pets are looking for forever homes.

SAG HARBOR, NY — It was a fuzzy lovefest recently as Sag Harbor students helped give back and find shelter pets forever homes.
To promote October as Pet Adoption Month, members of the Pierson High School youth advisory board and new community service club in the Sag Harbor School District helped socialize adoptable pets at the Southampton Animal Shelter, a release said.
The students volunteered on Oct. 21 to play with the 150 cats and 40 dogs currently available for adoption. They also fed them special treats that they made themselves prior to the visit.

In addition, plans are in place for the kids to assemble and donate adoption kits for the dogs and cats with the help of a mini-grant from the Southampton Town Youth Bureau.
