Shelter Island 10K Race to Take Place June 20

This year’s 36th annual Shelter Island 10K Race will take place on Saturday, June 20.

The race will start at 5:30 p.m. at 33 North Ferry Road in Shelter Island.

The historic race has been featured as one of the country’s most beautiful runs in Runner’s World magazine.

The money from the race will benefit the Shelter Island 10K Community Fund, as well as other various local charities.

Last year’s Boston Marathon winner and Olympic Silver Medalist, Meb Keflezighi, along with fellow elite runners Katie DiCamillo, Hirut Guangul and Amos Sang will be running in this year’s race.

Pre-registration is strongly suggested as the race is limited to 2,500 participants.
