Speeding Drunk Driver Flees From Crash Scene: Police
BREAKING: The arrest took place in Amagansett, police said.

AMAGANSETT, NY — An Amagansett man drove drunk, crashed his car, and fled the scene, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Amaurys Delossantos, 40, was arrested on Sept. 6 at 9:26 p.m. after he was seen driving a 2015 Chevrolet west on New York State Route 27, speeding 80 miles per hour in a 55 MPH zone, and leaving the scene of an accident.
Upon investigation, he was found to have the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, bloodshot, glassy eyes, slurred speech, and was unsteady on his feet; he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests administered, police said.

Delossantos was charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, and aggravated DWI, per se, 18 percent of 1 percent or more alcohol in blood, no priors, a misdemeanor, police said.
Cash bail was set at $5,000, police said.
