Teen Caught Driving While Ability Impaired By Drugs with Hypodermic Needle After East Hampton Accident: Police
The 18-year-old boy was busted on Stephen Hands Path in East Hampton, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY - A teenager was caught driving high on drugs with a hypodermic instrument in the car after a crash in East Hampton, police said.
The teen was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, first offense, a misdemeanor, and possession of a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, the teen, 18, who was not identified due to his age, was driving a 2012 Jeep south on Stephen Hands Path by the intersection of Wheelock Walk on Saturday at 3:47 a.m. while ability impaired by drugs.

Police said the teen was involved in an accident. Upon investigation, police said the teen's eyes were bloodshot and glassy, he had slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet, and he performed poorly on standardized roadside field sobriety tests and advanced roadside impaired driving tests, police said.
He also had a hypodermic syringe in his front left pocket, police said.
