Thiele to Accept Donations For Toys For Tots Program
The program will begin accepting donations next week.

Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I, D, WF-Sag Harbor) recently announced that his district office will be accepting donations for the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve “Toys for Tots” program.
Thiele’s office will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for children from Monday, Nov. 30 through Wednesday, Dec. 16.
Donations can be dropped off to Thiele’s office located at 2302 Main Street, Suite A, in Bridgehampton, Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

“I am so proud to be a part of such a fine organization that helps make the holidays special for children who are less fortunate,” he said. “I encourage residents to take part in the Toys for Tots program and drop off a new, unwrapped toy to my office. If everyone does their part we can make this holiday season a magical one for children.”
The Toys for Tots charity was established in 1947 by the Marine’s Los Angeles Reserve Unit to collect and distribute toys to less fortunate children whose parents were unable to provide presents for them

Since it began the program has distributed more than 494 million toys to over 230 million needy children.
