Town Cracks Down on Home Allegedly Operating as Commercial Nightclub: Supervisor

BREAKING:At least 130 people were found dancing, drinking and paying a cover charge to party at the single family home, town officials said.

EAST HAMPTON — Town officials have cracked down after a single family home was allegedly used as a commercial nightclub operation with more than "130 patrons dancing, consuming alcoholic beverages, and paying a cover fee for entrance to the event," according to a release from East Hampton Town Supervisor Larry Cantwell's office.

East Hampton Town Attorney Michael Sendlenski appeared on Friday before the Judge Joseph C. Pastoressa, "who, at the town’s request, executed a temporary restraining order prohibiting defendants Luis H. Farez, Water Mill Deli and LI-DJ Entertainment from using the premises at 7 Muir Boulevard in contradiction to the certificate of occupancy for a single-family residence issued on the property, prohibiting any commercial business operations at such residence and prohibiting the overcrowding of such residence," the release issued by East Hampton Town said.

According to town officials, the temporary restraining order stems from an investigation into a series of complaints and alleged events on the property.
