The energy code sessions are state approved for continuing education units, or CEU, for code inspectors, home inspectors, the Building Performance Institute, and the American Institute of Architects, or AIA.
The “Flooring Next Generation” session is approved for one CEU for the AIA.
“New York State just passed and implemented the new energy conservation code and is currently in its interim period,” said John Barrows, instructor for the Energy Code sessions, adding that the code will take effect in September. "This is a great opportunity to get a jump on its implementation and gather CEU credits at the same time. Additionally, all sessions taken together will provide a good foundation to meeting the two-year requirement for continuing education. LIBI is appreciative of the town’s efforts to assist the building community in meeting its CEU requirement.”
