Traveling Still Difficult in The Hamptons
The travel ban has been lifted in Southampton but is still in effect in East Hampton.
Clean up efforts on the roadways in the Hamptons are underway, but is being slowed down because of increased traffic, according to 27east.
The travel ban has been lifted in Southampton as of Wednesday morning, but is still in effect in East Hampton.
“There are too many people out this morning and it is making work for the plows difficult,” East Hampton Town Police Chief Michael Sarlo told 27east. “Vehicles are spinning out and getting stuck, slowing down the progress of road clearing and diverting emergency workers from their essential duties.”

As for public transportation, on Wednesday, there will be no morning rush hour service trains between Montauk and Speonk.
Southampton Town Hall and all Town Hall Facilities will open at 12 noon on Wednesday but East Hampton Town and East Hampton Village Facilities will be closed throughout the day on Wednesday.
