YMCA East Hampton Announces New Executive Director
The organization announced the new director on Monday.

The YMCA East Hampton RECenter recently announced that Glenn Vickers will serve as its new executive director.
“It is an absolute honor to serve the wonderful residents of East Hampton as executive director of our community’s YMCA,” Vickers said. “I am committed to the YMCA’s mission, and I will continue to provide programs and opportunities for Long Islanders to stay active and healthy.”
Vickers began his career at the Great South Bay YMCA where he spent six years working in Summer Camp, Before and After Care programs and Teen Services as a program director.

He returns to the YMCA of Long Island after recently gaining experience with Leadership Prince William and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington.
As executive director, Vickers will implement the growth strategy to enable the YMCA East Hampton RECenter to reach its strategic and fiscal objectives and position the branch as the community leader in the areas of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

“Glenn will help to advance our cause in the East Hampton community by emphasizing the effectiveness of our amazing programs and activities,” Anne Brigis, President and CEO of the YMCA of Long Island said. “Glenn’s skills in business development and leadership, as well as his experience in the nonprofit sector have prepared him to take on the critical role of executive director.”
