Police ID Victims in Fatal Holbrook Crash, Speed and Weather Likely Factors
Accident occurred early Saturday.
Police say speed and weather conditions are believed to have been factors in a crash that killed two men in Holbrook early Saturday.
According to police, 30-year-old Jankel Lenin Nolasco Lemus, of Brentwood, was driving a 2005 Honda east on Union Avenue when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole near Maple Avenue at about 3:45 a.m.
Lemus was pronounced dead at the scene. Lemus’s passenger, 24-year-old Denis Humberto Delcid Cerrato, of Ronkonkoma, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Honda was impounded for a safety check. The investigation in continuing and detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
