Duo Assaulted Officers Responding To Domestic Assault Call: NCPD
Police say one man slammed a door on an officer's hand, injuring it.
WESTBURY, NY — Two Westbury men were arrested late Saturday after police say they assaulted officers who were responding to a domestic dispute.
According to police, the officers responded to a home on Remison Drive in Westbury at 10:50 p.m. for a call of a domestic dispute. When they arrived, police say the officers found Mario Yulan, 32, on the front lawn. Police say Yulan was verbally combative, and slammed the door to the home on an officers arm when they tried to stop him from entering.
A second man, Adolfo Yulan, 64, who also lived in the home, also pushed the door closed on the officers, police say. The officers eventually got into the home and placed both men under arrest.
