Man Punches Woman In Face, Steals Her Bag: Nassau Police
The robbery happened Saturday morning, police say.
WESTBURY, NY — A woman was punched in the face by a man who robbed her Saturday morning in Westbury, the Nassau County Police Department said.
A woman, 34, was walking in the parking lot of the Pines Motor Lodge, at 101 Taylor Ave., when an unknown man approached her and tried to steal a bag she was carrying around 10 a.m., police said. The woman resisted, and the man punched her in the face, stole her bag and ran off towards Fulton Street, police said. No injuries were reported.
Police described the man as black, in his 20s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds and having a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black Nike sneakers and a black face mask, police said.
