Man Robbed 7-Eleven With Box Cutter: Nassau Police
Police say he stole beer from the store before fleeing.
Nassau County Police arrested a man Saturday afternoon whom they say robbed a convenience store with a box cutter earlier in the day.
Stephen Radi, 45, entered the 7-Eleven on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow around 11:40 a.m., police said. He threatened a store clerk with a box cutter, took beer from the fridge and fled, police said.
Police found Radi around 1 p.m. near Nassau University Medical Center and arrested him without incident.

Radi faces charges of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, petty larceny and second-degree menacing. He appeared Sunday in 1st District Court in Hempstead and was released without bail.
