Man Robs Nassau Dunkin' Donuts At Gunpoint–For A Bottle Of Water

Police say the man entered the store early Friday morning and stole a single bottle of water. No one was injured.

Nassau police are searching for a man who robbed a Dunkin' Donuts in East Meadow at gunpoint early Friday morning, all to steal a single bottle of water.

According to police, the man entered the store, located at 2050 Hempstead Turnpike, at 5:15 a.m. and took a bottle of water from the refrigerator. Police say he then approached the 28-year-old man behind the register and pointed a black handgun at him, refusing to pay for the water. The robber then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Police say the man had an medium build and was wearing a black hooded jacket and had a black scarf covering his mouth.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous, and you could earn a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
