Nassau Man Arrested After Stealing From Delivery Man: Police

Police say he ordered Chinese food, then robbed the delivery driver when he arrived.

An East Meadow man was arrested Sunday night after police say he robbed a Chinese food delivery man who came to his house.

According to police, the 59-year-old delivery man was dispatched to a home on Dale Avenue at 8 p.m. When he arrived at the house, police say Ronald O'Leary, 59, exited and brandished a steak knife at the man and demanded money. The delivery man complied, and police say O'Leary fled on foot.

After an investigation, police were consented to search the home and placed O'Leary under arrest. Police say the knife and the cash were found inside the home.
