• MS-13 Gang Leader Sentenced to 17 Years in Prison for 2024 Attacks at Soccer Field & Laundromat (longisland.com) — An MS-13 gang leader who was living in East Meadow has been sentenced to 17 years in prison after violent attacks in Hempstead and Uniondale left multiple victims seriously injured. Prosecutors say he was arrested at his East Meadow home last year following machete and pipe assaults at a soccer field and a laundromat, part of a broader county effort to crack down on gang violence.
