Trio Charged In Nassau Bank Robbery: Police
Police say the three robbed a bank inside a super market in broad daylight in late March.
Three men were arrested and charged with robbing an East Meadow bank in March, Nassau police say.
According to police, on March 21 at 4:22 p.m., a man entered the Peoples United Bank, located inside the Stop & Shop at 2425 Hempstead Turnpike. Police say the man approached the teller and handed them a note demanding money. The teller gave the man undisclosed amount of money, police say, and then he fled on foot.
There were two employees in the bank at the time of the robbery.

On April 18, Nassau County police arrested James L. Stack, 38, of Hempstead, in connection with the robbery. He was charged with third-degree robbery and was arraigned on April 18 in First District Court in Hempstead.
On May 1, police also arrested Kenneth Amblo, 47, of Hicksville, and Daniel Jacobs, 40, of Plainview, in connection with the robbery. They were both charged with third-degree robbery, and were each charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny for a different case. They are scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
