Cops: Men Schemed Hicksville Motorcycle Dealer
The plan involved fake ID to secure a loan to purchase motorcycles, police say.

Two men were arrested Monday in connection with a plan to buy motorcycles in Hicksville with fake identification to secure loans for the purchase, authorities said.
Nassau police say that on Nov. 14, Arthur Sherwood, 29, of Brooklyn entered the Long Island Kawasaki-Yamaha at 67 N. Broadway, Hicksville and presented a fraudulent driver’s license along with a fraudulent social security card to obtain a loan in the amount of $16,000 from Capital One Bank two purchase two motorcycles. Issouf Z. Sy, 32, of Brooklyn rented a U-Haul truck, which was used to pick up the motorcycles from the dealer.
After an investigation the men were arrested on Monday without incident, police said.

Both men are charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny. Sherwood is also charged with two counts of possession of a forged instrument, first-degree identity theft and first-degree defraud.
They are to be arraigned Tuesday, at First District Court in Hempstead.
