About Long Island National Cemetery
Long Island National Cemetery is one of our Nation's shrines and final resting place to many Long Islanders who have served our nation. With over 300 acres and more than 300,000 veterans have been laid to rest here. Visitation hours are Monday through Sunday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and our staff is available to assist you Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Memorial Day hours are 8:00am to 7:00pm. The office is closed federal holidays except for Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
The cemetery has space available for cremated remains in a columbarium. We can accommodated casketed remains of subsequent eligible family members in the same gravesite of previously interred family members. For more information please call our office at 631-454-4949.
