Police Investigating Fatal Hit-and-Run on Southern State in Farmingdale
The crash occurred Friday at 6:30 a.m., police say.

New York State Police are investigating a two-car hit-and-run fatal accident that occurred on Friday at approximately 6:30 a.m. on the eastbound Southern State Parkway, west of Route 110.
The vehicle that left the scene was described as a light colored, possibly gray, SUV with tinted windows and significant front end damage, police say.
The SUV had a possible partial NY license plate of GHJ and was last seen southbound on Route 110, heading toward Amityville, police say.

At 11:25 a.m, the New York State Department of Transportation continued to alert drivers that there was an investigation on the eastbound Southern State Parkway between Exit 31, Bethpage State Parkway, and Exit 32, Route 110, where the right lane was blocked.
