2 Arrested In Connection To Threatening Bus Passengers With Knife: PD
One person was found with a plastic bag believed to be filled with crack cocaine, police say.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — Two people were arrested on Wednesday after a verbal altercation and threats made against passengers on a NICE bus in Valley Stream, police said.
It happened at 3:15 p.m. when Kiara Cooper, 22, of Jamaica, Queens, and Quanmik Wells, 32, of Brooklyn, were yelling at each other as the bus approached the intersection of West Merrick Road and Arlington Avenue, police said.
During the dispute, Cooper pulled out a knife and threatened two female passengers (18 and 43 years old), according to detectives.

After being flagged down by police, Cooper was placed under arrest.
Wells also threatened the female passengers, ignoring officers, detectives said.

Wells physically resisted arrest and one officer sustained an injury to his right hand. He was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Once in custody, it was discovered that Wells was in possession of 41 plastic capsules containing a white rock-like substance, believed to be crack cocaine, police said.
Wells faces charges that include second-degree assault and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Cooper charges include second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
They were scheduled for arraignment on Thursday.
