Armed Man Robs Nassau Bank, Has Tellers Fill Bag With Cash
Police are searching for the man who robbed the bank in the middle of the day.

Nassau police are searching for an armed man that robbed a bank in Hewlett on Monday afternoon.
According to police, a man armed with a handgun entered BNB Bank at 1218 Broadway at 3:37 p.m. and announced that he was robbing the bank. The man demanded the tellers fill a brown backpack with cash. The tellers complied, and then the man fled on foot to a car waiting in the parking lot.
There were four employees and no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. no one was injured.

The robber was a black man in his early 20s, 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He was wearing a black T-shirt, dark sweatpants, white sneakers and a red baseball cap with a white letter "C" on it.
