Bodybuilder Son Shoots Parents; Charges Pending: Police
The 29-year-old is accused of shooting his mother and father in their $3.2 million mansion, Nassau police say.
HEWLETT HARBOR, NY — No charges have been filed yet against Dino Tomassetti, the 29-year-old, who is accused of shooting his parents inside their Hewlett Harbor mansion on Christmas morning, police said.
Rocco Tomassetti, 65, was shot in the back and Vinceta Marsicano-Tomassetti, 64, was shot in the head, according to police.
They were alert and conscious when officers arrived at the 8,751-square foot, $3.2-million sprawling property.

Dino's mother owns the Lynbrook dance studio Starz on Broadway, while his father owns Empire Transit Mix, a company that helped lay the foundation at 1 World Trade Center, Daily Voice reported.
Dino Tomassetti, who fled in a Cadillac Escalade, was taken into custody Saturday afternoon in Mahwah, New Jersey, police said.
