Customs: Dogs Detect Cocaine Stash in Suitcase at JFK
US Customs and Border Patrol K-9 finds $87,000 stash inside suitcase from Trinidad, officials said.

A woman faces drug smuggling charges after U.S. Customs and Border Patrol dogs detected a large stash of cocaine in her suitcase, according to CBP officials.
Jerrita Baker, of the United States, flew into John F. Kennedy Airport Sunday from Port of Spain, Trinidad with several pounds of cocaine in her suitcase, officials said.
After Baker arrived, Fenja, a K-9 dog, detected a suspicious suitcase belonging to Baker and alerted his handler, officers said.

Baker was escorted to a private search room where the suitcase underwent an inspection, said CBP. A white powder was found in the suitcase that tested positive for cocaine, they said.

A total of five pounds of cocaine, valued at $87,000, was inside the suitcase, officials said.
Baker was taken into custody and faces federal narcotics smuggling charges.
