Man Breaks Into Building; Steals Money, Credit Cards: Police

INWOOD, NY — A man was taken into custody for breaking into a location on Sunday night.

Sequan Kennedy, 30, is accused of stealing an undisclosed amount of money and in possession of stolen credit cards, police said.

A man broke a door and entered the building at 1 Sheridan Blvd. The person left and returned a short time later, breaking a window, detectives said.

A security company was monitoring cameras from a different location, observed the person breaking in and called 911, police said.

When officers arrived and secured the perimeter of the building, a man was located hiding inside and was arrested without incident, detectives said.

Kennedy faced multiple charges, including third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and criminal possession of stolen property. He was arraigned on Monday in Mineola, according to the police release.
