Man Handcuffed, Placed in Bathtub, Stabbed Repeatedly With Steak Knife in Nassau County Home
The man was attempting to recover property from an acquaintance when he was attacked. Three men arrested for attempted murder, police say.

VALLEY STREAM, NY - Three men were arrested for attempted murder after they handcuffed a man, placed him in a bathtub and then stabbed him repeatedly with a steak knife on Monday night, Nassau Police said.
According to police, the 27-year-old victim was trying recover property from a female acquaintance when he entered a home at 100 Jedwood Place in Valley Stream at about 8:20 p.m.
While inside, the man was confronted by occupants of the home, identified as 21-year-old Johnathan Faneytt, of Valley Stream, 22-year-old Jesus V. Maldonado, of West Hempstead, and 19-year-old Jorge Freire-Romero, of Valley Stream, and was kicked, punched and struck in the head with a black handgun, police said.

The man was then handcuffed, placed in a bathtub and stabbed with a steak knife, police said.
The victim was then removed from the tub, placed in a car and driven to Midvale Lane, where he was removed from the car, police said.

The attackers fled the scene and the victim walked to a local hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.
Faneytt is charged with second degree attempted murder, second degree kidnapping, third degree criminal possession controlled substance, two counts of third degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, three counts seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon and unrelated warrant charges, police said.
Maldonado is charged with second degree attempted murder, second degree kidnapping, two counts of third degree criminal possession of weapon, fourth degree criminal possession of a firearm and possession of a dangerous weapon, police said.
Freire-Romero is charged with second degree attempted murder, second degree kidnapping, criminal possession of a firearm, fourth degree possession of a dangerous weapon and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
