Man Impersonated Officer For Robbery: Police
Police say he forced himself into another man's apartment and said he was a police officer there to collect rent.

A Lawrence man was arrested on Friday and charged with impersonating a police officer in order to rob a man in Inwood.
According to police, Robert White, 48, of John Street, forced his way into the 21-year-old man's second-floor apartment and said he was a police officer. Police say White told the man he was there to collect rent money and would arrest him if he didn't pay. The man gave White an undisclosed amount of cash, and White left.
Police located White later and placed him under arrest without incident.
