Police say the man slashed at the young Walmart employee and then fled with the TV.

An unknown man slashed at a store employee with a box cutter in order to steal a TV Wednesday morning, and Nassau police are seeking the public's help to find him.

According to police, a man tried to leave Walmart, located at 77 Green Acres Road in Valley stream, at 7:48 a.m. while carrying a TV and not paying for it. An 18-year-old female employee approached the man, which is when he pulled out a box cutter and slashed at the woman's arm. Thankfully, he only cut her jacket and she was uninjured.

The man fled on foot with the television and was seen getting into a light blue or gray Honday Pilot and driving off north on Green Acres Road.
