Nassau Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint

Police say two armed men forced the manager to the ground and emptied out the cash register.

Nassau police are searching for two men who robbed a gas station in North Valley Stream at gunpoint in the early morning hours on Thursday.

According to police, a 37-year-old man was working as the manager at Valero, located at 758 Franklin Ave. While he was standing outside the store, two men approached him, and one pressed what appeared to be a gun into his back. The men forced the manager back into the store and told him to lie on the floor, threatening to shoot him if he didn't. The manager got on the floor, and the two men stole cash from the register and fled on foot, heading south on Franklin Avenue.

One man was approximately 6 feet, 3 inches tall, and the other was 5 feet, 8 inches tall. Both were wearing dark cloths, masks and gloves.

Police ask anyone with information about this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
