Nassau Man Arrested For Robbing His Neighbors: Police

Police say he broke into multiple homes to steal cash and jewels.

Nassau police arrested a Hewlett man on Friday on charges of robbing multiple home burglaries in his town during the month of April.

According to police, John Moruzzi, 28, of Chatham Road, burglarized multiple homes in Hewlett in April, stealing cash and jewels from all of them. Police say he is responsible for the following burglaries:

  • April 8 — 54 Chatham Rd.
  • April 9 — 60 Chatham Rd.
  • April 20 — 54 Chatham Rd. (Attempt)
  • April 26 — 36 Trinity Pl.

Police located Moruzzi in Valley Stream on May 5 at 6:30 p.m. and placed him under arrest without incident. He is charged with three counts of second-degree burglary.
