Police arrested one man and are searching for another after an armed robbery in Valley Stream early Thursday morning.

According to police, two men entered a 7-Eleven located at 190 North Central Ave. at 2:2o a.m. and approached the two employees, ages 25 and 31. The first man approached one of the employees, pointed a black handgun at him and demanded he open the cash register. The other man removed the cash, and then both men fled on foot. Police say they ran down Meyer Avenue, where they got into a gray 2012 Audi A4.

A witness saw the car driving around the area, and officers later located it in front of 101 North Montgomery St. The two men got out of the car and fled the officers on foot. After a chase, Douglas Simon, 36, of Francis Lewis, Laurelton, was caught by officers and arrested.
