Pair Arrested In Violent Robbery-Turned-Assault: Police
BREAKING: A man was beaten with a gun so badly his skull fractured. Police spent months tracking down the alleged perpetrators.

Two men were arrested for an alleged robbery-turned-assault that occurred in Inwood in January.
According to police, a 54-year-old man was in Convenience Grocery, located at 15 Bayview Ave., when Andre Ivory, 45, of Beach Channel Drive, Far Rockaway, allegedly entered the store armed with a handgun. Police say a struggle ensued, and the gun was fired, but no one was hit. After the gunshot, the victim fell to the floor, and police say Ivory began to pistol whip the man, causing a fractured skull and numerous cuts.
Then Ivory allegedly fled on Bayview Avenue without stealing anything.

Police investigated the crime and first arrested Edward Henson, 56, of Lawrence Avenue, Lawrence, on March 30 in connection with the crime. Police say that he was the get-away driver for Ivory. Detectives arrested Ivory on May 17.
Ivory is charged with first-degree assault, first-degree criminal use of a firearm, two counts of first-degree attempted robbery, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree attempted robbery. Henson was charged with first-degree assault, two counts of first-degree attempted robbery and second-degree attempted robbery.
