Police Searching For Armed Man Who Robbed Nassau Bank

BREAKING: The man threatened the teller and forced her to give him money before he fled the bank.

Nassau County police are searching for the man who robbed a bank in Cedarhurst early Monday morning.

According to police, the robber entered the TD Bank at 516 East Central Ave. at 8:12 a.m. He approached the teller and pulled out a black handgun, then demanded money. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man fled into a dark colored car that went northbound on Cedarhurst Avenue towards Willow Street.

The robber is described as a black man 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build, wearing a blue rain jacket, black pants and white and pink sneakers.
